The Pick Up Artist or Seduction Community

For those of you who don't know about the 'seduction community' it's an online based community of guys who study seduction and pick up theory for meeting women.

It's been recently popularized by a guy named Neil Strauss wrote a book about the community and another guy named Mystery had a television show on VH1 about it [go ahead and wiki it]

I was pretty deep into it a couple years ago as part of my self-improvement, but then started doing my own thing...

I don't really like to fully associate with it because of certain negative aspects that have been associated with the community, like being a social robot, negging women, women having supposed higher social value, a lot of weird creepy guys in it, misogyny, trying too hard to impress women, dancing monkey syndrome, etc...god i could go on and on...

I mean I'm grateful for a lot of stuff I learned and most people in the community probably have good intentions, but later found out a lot of the guys in it are full of their egos, guys too obsessed about 'picking up women', guys in it just for money or phonies... but that's another story.

Like any group of people, there are good and bad... it's pretty diverse

A lot of guys get overly obsessed with the community itself and not even getting with women.

What should drive you is your love of women: interacting with them, dating them, HAVING SEX WITH THEM!!

You shouldn't be driven by trying to impress other guys especially hundreds of 'keyboard jockies' from the community. I'm in it for my love of beautiful women and self improvement...

See that's the other thing that irks me about the community is that there are a lot of phonies in it...and guys who are just in it for the money but can't lay women.

Some guys in the community are self-labled 'pick up gurus' and make a lot of claims that their particular method are the essential end all way to get women. Although you can learn from some of them (and I definitely have), a lot of these supposed 'dating gurus' are basically full of shit.

Really there are many routes or methods to get women... you have to figure out your own path that best fits who you are already...

A lot make outlandish claims about their 'close rates' with women. What they mean by this is getting girls numbers, as in a 'number close'.

They're obsessed with making the interaction with women run smooth, and look 'good'...it's called 'flash game' and not about women, but more about not getting bad reactions/rejections and protecting their own egos.

The only 'close' I care about is being able to consistently meet women, date them, and actually have SEX with hot women...

Let's just say a lot of these 'gurus' are good at holding women's attention and showing 'flash game' the only problem is they still haven't been laid... ha ha

This just shows how controversial it is...

Anyways enough ranting...

There are actually a lot of great guys in the community who are into improving themselves and other's lives which is great. I've learned a little from many and a lot inspired me to be better with women etc.

There will always be good and bad seeds in any group of people...

I think if you do get into the community use it to better yourself, but also be your own person and don't let others dictate who you are...

You can model and learn from other's but really being your true self attracts women at a core level...

Always remember that your morals and standards for yourself are of utmost importance for being becoming a guy naturally attractive to women and more importantly an enlightened person...
